Job Brief

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Flagger to join our team. The Flagger is responsible for directing and controlling traffic around construction sites, road work zones, and other work areas to ensure the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to remain alert at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles, flags, and hand signals
• Control vehicle flow through construction and road work zones
• Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and crew members
• Set up and remove traffic control signs, cones, and barricades
• Monitor traffic conditions and report safety concerns
• Follow all state and company safety regulations
• Remain standing for extended periods in various weather conditions

Qualifications:

• Previous traffic control or construction experience preferred
• Strong communication and situational awareness skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Flagger certification required or willingness to obtain certification prior to or shortly after hire

Work Environment:
This position involves outdoor work near moving traffic and requires strict adherence to safety procedures and high visibility standards.
